Shatrughan Sinha expressed his approval by saying, “It is her turn now".

Sonakshi’s father said that Shatrughan Sinha married Poonam Sinha, 44 years ago, a very talented, very beautiful, and very successful girl whom he had chosen.
On Sunday, at her Bandra flat in Mumbai, Sonakshi Sinha, a Bollywood actress, got married to her longtime friend Zahir Iqbal. In Bastian, a lavish party was thrown for them after the marriage.

A few days later, Shatrughan Sinha who is Sonakshi’s dad also reacted to his daughter’s marriage to Zaheer. After being asked about his feelings on the day when Sonakshi was getting married, Shatrughan told Times Now, “Yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? Each father looks forward to the moment when his daughter is handed over to her chosen husband.

 My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe.”

"Shatrughan Sinha got married to a girl whom he chose: who was very successful, very beautiful, and very talented, named Poonam Sinha. It is now Sonakshi’s time to get married to a boy of her choice," he added shortly afterward.

Luv Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, addressed his absence from his sister’s wedding in an interview with the Hindustan Times, the interview that has her wedding photo missing from it. Luv Sinha told Hindustan Times when questioned about why he had not attended his sister's wedding, “Give me a day or two before I respond to you if I choose to do so. Thanks for asking.”

Her wedding picture does not have Luv Sinha in it; however, Luv Sinha told Hindustan Times when he was asked about the absence from his sister’s marriage, “Please give me some time or day so that when I’m ready we can talk more about this if at all.”
